A little assistance
If you need a little assistance to steady yourself walking (and live in the far northwest side of the Portland area), try this Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District (THPRD) park.
It's Springville Meadows Park at the end of the cul-de-sac, Alfalfa Street, near Portland Community College's Rock Creek Campus. Alfalfa Street extends south of Graf Street which is the first continuous street south of Springville Road. It can be accessed by turning west off Kaiser Road, three-quarters mile north of the Bethany Shopping Center (Laidlaw Rd).The white plastic fence runs for about two hundred yards immediately adjacent to the sidewalk broken only by a few gaps used for access into the park. It's a quiet street, and the park is under the power transmission lines that parallel Springville Road.
We will watch for similar opportunities and post them as we find them. If you know of any, please e-mail us.
